There is a Triune God consisting of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The Father God is:
- Spirit – God is Spirit; and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth. (John 4:24)
- Omnipotent – I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. (Revelation 1:8)
- Creator – In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:1)
- Love – Whoever does not love, does not know God, because God is Love. (John 4:8)
- Faithful – God is faithful through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. (1 Corinthians 1:9)
The Son Jesus is:
- Born – …the Holy Spirit will come on you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the Holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:35)
- Called Jesus – She will give birth to a son and give Him the name of Jesus because He will save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21)
- Savior – Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord. (Luke 2:11)
- Died and was Resurrected – Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures; that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
- Will Come Again – Look, I am coming soon. My reward is with me and I will give to each person according to what they have done. (Revelation 22:12)
The Holy Spirit is:
- Teacher – The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things. (John 14:26)
- Power – And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you. (Romans 8:11)
- Guide – For those who are led by the Spirit of God, are the children of God. (Romans 8:14)
The following subjects are essential to living a Christian life:
- Salvation – God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16) Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
- Repentance – If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
- Eternal Life – Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them. (John 3:36)
- Going to Heaven – Jesus said, very truly I tell you, and no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. (John 3:5)
- Humility – For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, less anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
- We are Body, Soul and Spirit – May your whole body, soul and spirit be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:23) There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. (1 Corinthians 15:44) Renew the soul; which consists of your emotions, thoughts and will. (Ephesians 4:23)
- Baptism in Water – Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38)
- Fruit of the Spirit – Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control. (Galatians 5:22-23)
- Baptism in the Holy Spirit – For John baptized with water…but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.(Acts 1:5)
- Gifts of the Holy Spirit – The manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of Wisdom, to another the message of Knowledge, to another Faith, to another Gifts of Healing, to another the working of Miracles, to another Prophecy, to another Discerning of Spirits, to another Speaking in Tongues, and to another the Interpretation of Tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit and He distributes them to each one just as He determines. (1 Corinthians 12:7-11)
- Ministry Gifts – We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. They are: Prophecy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Giving, Leading and Mercy. (Romans 12:6-8)
- Five Fold Ministry – Christ gave to the church Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-12)
- Fear of the Lord – The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10)
Remember: The Fear of the Lord is Wisdom – Not weakness!
